Sensei Spencer Duke began training at the University Karate Center in 1988. In 1993, he became the first student to graduate from the Karate Center’s sempai program, and, in 1997, he began regularly instructing classes. Sensei Duke was awarded his First Dan on September 27, 1998, at the age of fifteen years old. In June of 2001, he graduated locally from South Plantation High School as class valedictorian. He subsequently enrolled in the University of Miami’s undergraduate School of Business Administration, majoring in both Legal Studies and Finance.
